ABSTRACT

The positive response to a theoretical adaptive learning (AL) solution for offshore crew working in very remote locations clearly shows AL’s potential for technical commercial enterprises. Specifically, this case study of mechanics aboard seismic vessels positively receiving hydraulic theory AL modules has multiple immediate and long-term benefit, chief of which is the cost-effective verification of individual learning. The initial results also indicate that the further creation of unique feedback loops will increase operational effectiveness and likely improve operational sustainability. This will be of significance for a number of technical enterprises, especially those employing people of all skill levels remotely.
