ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter puts the voices of this volume’s authors into dialogue with each other, exploring prominent themes, pertinent issues, and points of convergence and divergence emerging from the authors’ contributions. It discusses the potential contributions this volume makes to the field, and explore its implications for curriculum and pedagogical innovation, teacher education, and language and literacy education in the context of diverse families and communities. It also points to questions, tensions, and incongruencies worthy of further attention, and identify potential future directions for research.
