ABSTRACT
We interviewed Nato in the conference room of Creative Time’s offices in the East Village, New York City. It was late October 2017, barely a year after Donald Trump’s election. At the time of our interview, Nato had been selected to serve as the first artistic director of Philadelphia Contemporary, a multidisciplinary arts venue dedicated to contemporary visual and performance art, where he has been ever since.
