ABSTRACT

We interviewed Marc via Skype in late May of 2018. At the time, Marc was the Chief of Programs and Pedagogy at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, CA, a position he held since 2012. In January of 2019, he assumed the newly created position of Vice President and Artistic Director of Social Impact at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. where he spearheaded the first expansion of the Kennedy Center’s studios, amphitheater, rehearsal space, and outdoor pavilions. He is one of 12 artistic partners at the Kennedy Center and the first to serve in both administrative and artistic roles.
