ABSTRACT
The chapter seeks to read Hind Swaraj as a bilingual text, not just a text that Gandhi wrote in two languages. The traces of Gandhi’s bilingual thinking are evident in the choice of terms that he made in both Gujarati and English. The attempt is to understand the modes of Gandhi’s thought and his semantic universe.
