ABSTRACT

This Afterword articulates some of the complexities of ethics in a world where diverse cultures and forms of life are increasingly interconnected. Drawing on writing by Indigenous and other activist scholars, I put my reflections in a dialogue with those of many who have suggested that thinking in terms of a pluriverse rather than a universe informs more ethical decision making. I introduce some of the dimensions of pluriversal interactions that involve the creation of or attention to sound: dimensions that are conceptual, relational, positional, or representational.
