ABSTRACT

This research’s main objective is to apply multicriteria-based modeling to identify and classify the key aspects and the actors that influence innovative ecosystems in three countries (Portugal, Brazil, and India) in accordance with their impact on such systems. The data collected was subject to analysis by the ELECTRE TRI ME algorithm, resulting in categorizing actors into one category of the five constituent categories. The results demonstrate how the actor bearing greater influence over innovative ecosystems’ success is people for both incremental and disruptive expectational innovation even though this factor generates different consequences across the three countries. We believe this research supports both practitioners and researchers to understand better which actors influence the innovation ecosystem.
