ABSTRACT

The objective of the research is to develop a taxonomy to evaluate the airlines readiness to adopt new fraud software, as well as find out how mature and ready they are to implement a new protection system. Second, it will identify gaps in the existing literature and determine the reasons why studying the gaps is important. Finally, the proposal will present a Hierarchical Decision Model (HDM) to provide a plan to solve the identified gaps. The gaps that the study identified are the high cost of implementing fraud prevention software, unreliable e-payment systems, and the lack of preparedness among the airline industry. All these gaps have been identified from literature and form the basis of what the study seeks to find solutions.
