ABSTRACT
On the day right after the presidential election in 2016, at Voto Latino, we went from providing electoral information to suicide prevention information. Quoting Donald J. Trump, the El Paso shooter said that he wanted to stave off the Mexican invasion and stop the Latino voting bloc. Four million young Latinos who heard the president call their loved ones “criminals and rapists” will be eligible to participate in this presidential election for the very first time. In 2018, within a week of the president’s decreeing a family separation policy, Texas, which built the very first camp to intern children—right in the middle of the desert. The Dreamers had given their information to the federal government, headed by Trump, which basically said that it was going to track down the Dreamers. In the last election, millennials and baby boomers made up roughly 62 million people on both ends of the population spectrum.
