ABSTRACT
In this chapter we explore a how counselor educators can use administrative processes, mentorship, and program culture to develop leaders who advocate for clients, for the counseling profession, and against systemic injustice. The chapter includes consideration of CACREP 2016 Standards, reflection questions, and concrete strategies for fostering leadership and advocacy within counselor preparation programs.
