ABSTRACT

Pallavi Rastogi and her contributors must be congratulated for taking on the challenge of addressing the post-colonial predicament in extremis. Today the global worlds, North and South encounter each other in a terrifying symmetry of ethno-nationalist majoritarianism. In the name of the nation’s “people”, minorities and migrants become targets of a tyrannical rule of discrimination that violates their rights and representations, while dissidents are silenced and incarcerated in the name of the national “interest”.
