ABSTRACT

This chapter illustrates the need for the incorporation of a variety of skills and multiple intervention approaches to meet the challenges of service delivery in the present health environment. Through the description of a case, the chapter introduces the need for this book and the application of terminology associated with the International Classification of Function, Disability and Health: Children and Youth version (ICF-CY), and the use of a Reasoning in Action Model, a data-based clinical reasoning model that guides problem-solving and allows the integration of sensory processing and sensory integration principles with multiple other approaches.
