ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on how principles of sensory integration (SI) can be combined with other treatment approaches for children with cerebral palsy. Multi-system impairments in this population are described with an emphasis on how to assess sensory impairments and their impact on activities and participation. The treatment approach presented blends SI with other evidence-based interventions. A case study is used to demonstrate the application of the Reasoning in Action Model (RAM) and the process of blending intervention strategies.
