ABSTRACT
Hungarian political life and Hungary’s constitutional system are frequent topics across Europe. This paper focuses on the Article 7 procedure against Hungary, yet it argues that the issue is much broader than the procedure itself. Therefore, it discusses the relationship between illiberalism and the Rule of Law, and intends to clarify what law and politics are and what they can do for the protection of the Rule of Law.
