ABSTRACT

The authors describe the collaboration of Deakin University School of Psychology and the Eastern Health Mental Health Program in Melbourne in the care of children and young people under the age of 25. They highlight the importance of involving management and senior leadership in support of the training experience as well as typical steps in their clinical process. Three case examples are provided to illustrate aspects of how solution-focused brief therapy is used to promote positives in the Family Oriented Collaboration Utilizing Strengths (FOCUS) Clinic.
