ABSTRACT
P&I Clubs cover shipowner members who have entered their ship in the P&I Club for relevant risks occurring during the period of entry in connection with the operation of the ship, and in respect of a member's interest in the ship. Shipowner members are covered for liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses incurred. The question is whether a change in the scope of the cover offered by P&I Clubs is now needed, since unmanned remotely controlled or unmanned fully autonomous MASS controlled by artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly becoming a reality.
