ABSTRACT
This chapter briefly reviews and comments on the activities of the IMO in relation to MASS. The two main developments to date, the “Regulatory Scoping Exercise” (RSE) and the Interim Guidelines for MASS Trials, are discussed separately in sections 2 and 3, followed by some concluding thoughts in section 4 on how the IMO could proceed in this matter.
