ABSTRACT

Human history hitherto has been the history of wars. After the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the nuclear bomb, vast human and material resources have been unduly spent on building the nuclear arsenals which are sought to be destroyed to save the human race. A new climate of peace is demanding destruction of all nuclear weapons, together with chemical weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. Humanity has been humiliated by subjection to racism, whether in the form of Zionism or Apartheid or racial hatred. The revival of racism in Europe is a new phenomenon emerging after the end of the Cold War in 1990. The paradox is that the United Nations was intended to enforce the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in all dimensions. Developed nations must accept this as an axiomatic truth for their own survival and the survival of their superior achievements, which can be in serious danger if used to impose an unequal unjust world.
