ABSTRACT
The Soviet Union is no longer the Soviet Union of twenty years ago. But the US remains the same as she was twenty years ago and is one of the two superpowers. The US still maintains a capitalist system domestically, and, externally, continues to accelerate the expansion of its military preparedness and the nuclear race. Since the revisionist Soviet Union has changed from a socialist country into a social-imperialist one, the excellent revolutionary situation has undergone a precipitous change, and a sinister storm and evil clouds have appeared. Taiwan today no longer exercises great political influence internationally. But it is still impossible to solve the Taiwan issue in a short period of time. It might take ten or twenty years, or even a longer period of time. To liberate Taiwan is our firm policy, but one must consider the development of the international situation as a whole and our own preparations.
