ABSTRACT

CArolina, so called from his late Majesty King Charles the Second of Glorious memory, is a Colony not long since established by the English, and is that part of Florida adjoining to Virginia, between twenty nine and thirty six degrees of Northern Latitude; On the East it is washed with the Atlantick Ocean, and is bounded on the West by Mare Pacificum or the South Sea, and within these bounds is contained the most fertile and pleasant part of Florida which is so much commended by the Spanish Authors; Of which I cannot give a more ample Account than has been done already by an Englishman, who has lived, and was concerned in the settlement thereof, and shall therefore / repeat what he has delivered in his own words. 36
