ABSTRACT

This chapter seeks to elucidate how Afro-Colombian communities, who have been disproportionately affected by the armed conflict, can participate in, and interact with, the main three institutions that form the Comprehensive System created by the Final Agreement. Three specific areas of participation are highlighted, including the appointment of members of Afro-Colombian communities in different positions within the institution, filing of reports to the institutions of the System, and the ethnically differential approach, that allows a variety of actions that facilitate the participation and engagement of Afro-Colombian communities in the System.
