ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses some fundamental aspects of the process of implementation of the “Final Agreement to End the Conflict and to Construct a Stable and Lasting Peace” that should be considered in the assessment of its ultimate success or failure. We believe that these aspects should be supported to address the challenges that arise with regards to the termination of armed conflict with Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and the construction of a peaceful co-existence in a society historically and profoundly affected by violence. These are the Final Agreement's measures with regards to transitional justice, measures taken with regards to land issues and in support of the rural population; and the polarization of Colombian society with regards to the Final Agreement. Finally, we will present some conclusions drawn from our analysis.
