Chapter Number & Title – chapter 3 Assessment

Most, if not all, business courses lead to some form of formal assessment. That assessment may be in the form of an external examination and/or a piece of assignment work. The changing nature of assessment requirements means that our focus on assessment in our business lessons must be both manageable and effective. Lesson planning, evaluation and assessment considerations must underpin all of the work that a beginning teacher undertakes. This chapter explores the options open to the beginning teacher in terms of what types of assessment can be used, which are the most effective in supporting your pupils to make progress and why.
