ABSTRACT
In this concluding chapter, we discuss how the future of Russianness across the diaspora is envisioned, enacted, and renewed moment by moment through linguistic, cultural, and behavioral choices, as the contributions in this volume suggest. This process offers insight into the transformative power of imagination as the future is shaped through continuous reflection and renewal of the Soviet past in the present moment. This dynamic process highlights the extent to which linguistic issues are relational at heart, and how migrants can occupy multiple cultural, emotional, and linguistic landscapes at once.
