ABSTRACT
This chapter will explore legislation past and present, with specific focus on current policy and legislation resulting from the Lamb Inquiry. It will include critical discussion of a timeline of key legislation from the Warnock Report to the current SEND Code of Practice. Links will be made between current practice and the experiences, positive and negative, of parents, children and families.
