ABSTRACT

Cassie comes from a high-achieving family. Her parents were both educated in the United States, and have high hopes of Cassie entering an Ivy League University with her decent grades and squash performance. Cassie’s older sister plays squash and softball and has recently been accepted to Tufts University in the fall. Cassie respected her parents, knowing that they were both hard workers. When Cassie turned 11 and began secondary school, she realized that her schedule became increasingly hectic. Cassie’s father, David picks her up from practice and chats with the coaches to check her progress. Her younger coach noticed Cassie’s speed and agility and believed she could be more successful, and suggested to David that they increased her training load.
