Airport infrastructure charges, in turn, intend to cover the infrastructure costs and services provided by the airports. Subsidies for the operation of services are presented as complementary information to the main account. The chapter also discusses the transport accounts in Spain for interurban services from publicly available information. Based on the total capital and maintenance costs published in the annual reports of Adif, the Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administrator, the total figures for the rail infrastructure costs have been obtained. The data referring to the capital and maintenance costs in this case has been obtained from the economic reports of the company that owns and operates the Spanish airports, Aena, and the public entity responsible for air navigation in Spain, Enaire.
