ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the growth of air transport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and considers how this is related to economic development. It discusses the factors affecting air transport development, and then examines air traffic patterns in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, some airports have experienced unprecedented growth in air traffic. The air transport market in Bosnia and Herzegovina is undergoing significant changes, which are taking place on both the demand and supply sides. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, some airports have experienced unprecedented growth in air traffic. Considering the long-term projection of the development of passenger and cargo traffic, it is necessary to create a business model as a precondition for positioning Bosnia and Herzegovina in the air market. Environmental and spatial constraints may jeopardise the further development of Sarajevo airport. The increase in traffic of all airlines, and especially the low-cost ones, caused the need for more infrastructure.
