Legality of economic sanctions imposed by the United States

In this chapter, the legality of economic sanctions has been discussed laying emphasis upon its increasing usage by the United States as a part of its foreign policy. The process of declaring sanctions has been compared with the UN system of sanctions. This chapter also questions the legal and moral legitimacy of leveraging the economic dependence of the weaker nations.
