ABSTRACT

War creates various kinds of victims , and in this story, narrated by a dead woman probably raped and killed by an unknown man, a specific problem affecting women is focused on. Disappearances during a war often made it impossible for a women to move on if her husband was “ missing ”, because she couldn’t be classified as a widow, and her life therefore, was in limbo. She was then open to exploitation , and the lack of closure could make her a victim of her own desires and those of others.
