ABSTRACT

The children of this world are wise in their generation. When Mr. Huskisson began his work of destruction, the prudent plan of breaking up the foundation of society was suggested from the Prince of the Power of the Air. The Combination Laws were repealed, and since then master and man have in every possible shape appeared in contest. The authors no longer see the old fashioned principle of master and servant united by their common interest, and pulling one way; but that relation is taken out of the hands of Parliament and Magistrates, and handed over to the Trades’ Unions and brutal violence. A fair sample, in the author opinion, of what is to be expected in the future Republic”.
