ABSTRACT

As in any other college course, students will be exposed to unfamiliar vocabulary and terms in research methods. Some of these terms may sound familiar from prerequisite statistics course(s), but now students will be asked to understand them on an even deeper level. It will be necessary not only to know what each term means and why it is used, but also how to apply it in a lab assignment or an original experiment or project. This chapter is comprised of a long list of topics that you will have to learn about during research methods, including statistical terms and experimental terms. They have been defined and expanded upon with unique explanations and examples from the authors, in the hopes that it will help students better understand the concepts and how to use them.
