By foregrounding players’ personalities, facilitating interactions between streamers and viewers, and establishing an interface similar to cable TV as well as subgenres for navigating content, Twitch.tv applies a televisual framework to its flow of gaming streams with the goal of making game spectatorship a more accessible and profitable activity.
