ABSTRACT
Henri Lefebvre’s work is often perceived either as an extension that clarifies Marx’s thought or as a gateway to the understanding of dialectic. However, this way is full of pitfalls. The treatment of the Lefebvrian dialectic as an immediate continuity and a rigorous application of what was already inscribed in Marx’s work is one of them. The usual identification of Lefebvre’s triads with the triadic structure of the Hegelian dialectic is another. In this sense, this chapter seeks to present aspects of the morphology and structure of Henri Lefebvre’s dialectic thinking, emphasizing the radical specificity of the way the author reworks the material inherited by him aiming to compose some new basis of the contemporary critical thinking.
