ABSTRACT
The Soka Gakkai is a Japan-based activist and socially and politically engaged religious movement that seeks to create an enriched Buddhist society where global citizens would live together in peaceful and prosperous harmony without the social and political divisions that divide the world today. The goal is a “transformation of the human spirit” from a culture of violence to a culture of peaceful tranquility by promoting peace, culture and education through personal change and social contribution.
