ABSTRACT

When Anselm Müller arrived in Oxford in 1965, several philosophers there were applying insights of Wittgenstein, Aristotle, and Aquinas to various contemporary philosophical issues. Among them were Elizabeth Anscombe, Peter Geach, Philippa Foot, and Anthony Kenny—and Müller was soon among them. The chapter gives an overview of some of their contributions to the philosophy of mind, to metaphysics, and to ethics.
