ABSTRACT

The coronavirus epidemic in 2020 became a game changer in education throughout the whole world. As of March 6, 2020, 300 million kids were impacted, according to UNESCO. By March 27, the number was 1.4 billion. Norway went into lockdown on March 13, and homeschooling via digital tools became the norm. Many teachers are better equipped to use technology in their classrooms. These months of trial and error might very well have provided much of the training teachers needed. Teachers had to transform their way of teaching drastically, from traditional classroom pedagogy to an online classroom using Teams or Zoom. In Norway, almost every student had access to computers with good bandwidth, and that made it easy for teachers to teach their students. Even so, there were many obstacles, and students with difficult home conditions, many siblings, and students with learning disabilities were suffering.
