ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we look at some examples of how students with specific challenges in school, with an emphasis on software that helps students with learning disorders, such as dyslexia, can succeed in the classroom. We look at the many apps and games used to enhance learning. It is a common misconception among educators that technology should not be used with students who are struggling to learn. But did you know that students can easily use text suggestions to find the right way to spell tricky words? That Microsoft Word and Google easily can read the text in documents out load for you? Or that the students can dictate their writing?

Virtual reality (VR) can be used to enhance student learning and engagement. VR education can transform the way educational content is delivered. How about visiting exciting places with VR technology when travel is not possible?
