ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the use of tablet PCs with younger students. Ever wondered what it would be like to teach a class where all the students have a tablet PC? Are you worried about classroom management and how to introduce different apps for learning? In this chapter, many good examples from subjects like math, social studies, music, and science classes are shared. Simon Spurkland has many years of experience working in a digital environment and knows what to do and what to avoid. He shares how the use of tablet PCs can enhance student learning and create an atmosphere of engagement in which the students take ownership of their learning. This way of working changes the way you assess students’ work.
