ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 continues with the concept of special victims and focuses on child, incest, and male victims. These are also often overlooked nontraditional victims of sexual assault that presents additional challenges to detectives and prosecutors. This includes victims who for many reasons might not want to cooperate with the police and the potential long-term psychological effects for these victims.
