ABSTRACT

One of the great things about living in the Boston area, at least before he moved to Arizona, was the ability to regularly hear Noam Chomsky speak. Noam also invited me to speak about economic inequality at his MIT seminar periodically. Chomsky’s seminars were a beehive of critical conversation. Seats were filled with eager students having their minds and hearts cracked open. But the wider community was also invited to attend and we did. Sometimes there were over 300 people wedged into the lecture hall.
