ABSTRACT

This chapter, written by the second author, highlights ten of the most important family therapy concepts he learned through his close collaboration with Dr. Salvador Minuchin. These learnings both summarize and expand several of the concepts presented previously in the book, while providing new concepts for consideration. By focusing on a more meta-theoretical level, the chapter provides the reader with an opportunity to view their family therapy practice from a macro perspective. This will allow the reader to adopt and modify the concepts into their specific usage of family therapy practices.
