ABSTRACT
In this chapter, four strands of pragmatist political theory are surveyed: John Dewey's Perfectionism, Richard Rorty's Ironism, Cheryl Misak's Epistemic Deliberativism, and Elizabeth Anderson's Revised Deweyanism. Each is shown to confront philosophical difficulties, indicating that pragmatism is a living and developing perspective in political theory.
