ABSTRACT
This chapter is between 100 and 200 words that accurately describes the content of the title. It includes all relevant keywords and phrases that readers would need to search for the content of the work, which is written in a lucid, readable manner. The abstract summarises the content of the chapter: how a select number of media houses championed the cause of one of the opposition parties in the 2015 presidential election in Nigeria that featured Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). These media houses either were owned or had links with politicians of APC. They include THE NATION newspaper, Leadership newspaper and The News magazine. The abstract provides an outline of the study and research methodology, the findings and outcomes of the research. The keywords and overall abstract as well as ORCID included above have been drafted, checked and corrected so that the resulting text is as clear and accurate as possible.
