The Branch Associations, in connexion with the Health of Towns Association, established for several years past in various towns and cities in England and Wales, have had the effect of directing the attention of intelligent and influential persons to the sanitary condition of their respective localities. Accounts of the state, of particular towns, many of them the result of personal inspection, together with recommendations as to remedies, have from time to time been communicated to the Association from these local bodies.
