ABSTRACT

The reference to Telepathy made by Sir William Crookes, F.R.S., in his Presidential Address at the last meeting of the British Association, has served to call the attention of a considerable section of the public to a subject which up to the present many have been inclined to treat with indifference, if not with contempt and ridicule. Regarding the origin of telepathic communication, it has been suggested that, far from being a new experience to men, it is probably the relic of a custom practised by his ancestors in a lower state of being. For the laws of nature are of divine origin, the outcome of the mind of God, and in perfect accord with His own nature. The unique personality of Jesus Christ no doubt must be taken into account. Flowing out of His nature were telepathic forces more potent than ever came from another.
