ABSTRACT

As a spirit of anxiety has for some time pervaded the Power Loom Tenting Body, accompanied by a wish that a Society might be formed upon such general principles as would meet the views of all honest men, it will be unnecessary to expatiate on the utility of adopting such measures as are necessary, in times like the present, for the protection of one another. A structure of weekly meetings reinforced ties among members and provided opportunities for fellowship and conviviality. District business being thus arranged, the delegates from the various districts shall form the Central Committee, to whom shall be added a Preses, Treasurer and Secretary, to be chosen by the body, and from the body, at a general meeting, to remain in office for three or more months as may be necessary, and their period of service shall be so arranged as not to leave office at one time, lest the Society’s interests should suffer thereby.
