ABSTRACT

Union is strength,' and union amongst Chartists of the United Kingdom, will now, by one grand and determined effort, convert that very money power, which has hitherto been the strong-hold of our enemies alone, and by means of which our liberties have been held captive, into a bulwark of defence, whence shall be begotten and disseminated a power, that shall lay bare and prostrate the knavery and malevolence of mitred mountebanks and sceptered simpletons, and all their attendant crew of servile parasites before the high altar of universal love, well founded peace and eternal truth. They are strictly democratical, inasmuch as no one member can take undue precedence of another; each and every member stands upon the same tooting with his neighbour.
