ABSTRACT

For the past decades, the mobile phone has been an important part of children's and adolescents’ lives. In many locations around the world, the vast preponderance of teens and children have a smartphone with which to coordinate, to use as a safety link, and to connect with their social networks and their parents. While there are many positive uses, mobile telephony has also been a channel through which there have been less savory activities such as sexting, bullying, and phubbing. This chapter will examine these issues.
