ABSTRACT
In this book we first introduced the idea behind semantic network analysis, its premises, historical development, and current place, among other computational research methods. We explained in detail the stages and tools to conduct semantic network analysis. Most of the later chapters focused on the applications of semantic network analysis in different types of texts, research settings, and disciplines. In this concluding chapter we summarize the key findings and the main features of semantic network analysis as appeared in all studies. We also provide more details on how to interpret the networks and explain the boundaries of semantic networks. Finally, we discuss the future directions in the field of semantic network analysis.
